Alderney is just 80 miles from the South coast of England, which is a forty
minute flight away and 15 minutes from Guernsey and Jersey.
There are daily flights with Aurigny Air Services from Southampton and from
Bournemouth and Brighton with Rockhopper. |

The island is three miles long by one mile wide and sometimes called the
Cinderella of the Channel Islands but it has a great deal to offer especially for children. Being just that much further south the island enjoys slighty better weather than the UK. There are superb beaches which are safe for swimming and unlike many other holiday resorts do not have the usual hoards of people.
There are many activities on the island and there are a number of very big annual
events that attract many holiday makers. There is Alderney Week which, is always the first week in August, the Alderney Fly-In when hundreds of private aircraft arrive on the island. Then there is the Hill Climb and many sailing regattas. Incidentally if you are sailing here we will be delighted to collect you and your crew from the harbour and bring you to the finest establishment on the island . . . The Georgian House.
